Where the events will be held?

The University of Porto is proud to host the ICPC Europe Championship.

What are the dates of the event?

28. February – 2. March 2025

Will accommodation, transportation, and meals be provided?

Accommodation and transportation to/from the airport are not provided!

Some meals will be provided, see the Schedule.

Am I able to bring family/guests?

Family/Guests are able to spectate at the competition but accommodation, transportation, and meals are not covered. All of their expenses would have to be paid on their own and need to have access to their own transportation.

What are the current mask/COVID-19 restrictions?

There are no COVID-19-related restrictions at CTU. The CTU campus community is encouraged to continue with good behaviors like handwashing, avoiding touching our faces and staying home or self-isolating when feeling ill. These actions can help reduce the spread of COVID-19, as well as common colds and seasonal flu. Members of our campus community and visitors may choose whether to wear a mask.

What can I expect from this event?

Lots of learning, competitive fun, and life-changing opportunities in meeting with industry professionals!

I have special requests/needs for lodging and food accommodations. Who can I reach out to?

Requests for special needs should be entered into the ICPC Registration system no later than February 1, 2025. Please email euchelp@icpc.global with questions.

Does University of Porto have Wi-Fi all throughout Campus?

YES! There is accessible free Wi-Fi in all areas throughout campus. Look for the Eduroam network. As always, WiFi will not be available during the Dress Rehearsal on Saturday 1st March, or during the Competition on Sunday 2nd March.

Are all events mandatory?

Check the official Schedule 2025 at ICPC EUC webpage. Mandatory activities are indicated with a star (*).

May I bring food onto the contest floor?

You may NOT bring any beverages. Water will be provided. You may bring some snack items. These will be limited to items that are not likely to be a hazard to the computer equipment.

Examples:

NOT THESE:
Doritos (cheese-dust); greasy chips
Chocolate
Brownies, crumbly cookies
Pears, oranges (juicy fruits)

 

THESE ARE OK:
Baked chips (no coatings)
Hard candies; gummy bears
Shortbreads or single-bite items
Bananas, grapes, apples

You must put all your snacks in a clear plastic bag and present it for inspection as you enter the contest floor. The decision of the floor personnel on whether or not a particular snack item is acceptable is final and may not be appealed. The item will be removed, and we will not be able to label or “hold” the items for you.
